Congratulation to the protesters in Melbourne these pensioners have the courage of their convictions and are speaking out for all Australian Pensioners. The new ruddy government are proving to be no better than the last lot when it comes to the nations senior citizens. Promises promises we will do this for you. We have just replaced one bunch of liars with another lot. Twelve years of crap from Howard, Costello and Abbot and now we have to contend with this rotten shower. Jenny Macklin says they have boosted support for 19.000 what about the other three and a quarter million of us. If it wasnt for us there would be no babies to give the bonuses to apart from refugees. The other twerp Nelson is going to make an announcement in two and a half years time…………whoopee…….what about the twelve years he just left behind whilst in government, he forgot about us then. Now heres a chance for some grandstanding hes trying to show interest, the hypercritical xoynhoxv# %zdzxo. Before the next election we are going to see polices to bring more justice to pensioners. Mind you at the current food prices there shouldnt be many of us left by then. The justice needed is to lock the whole lot of them up for crimes against the nation.

It seems alco pops have taken centre stage in a move by the polliedopes to curb binge drinking by the nations youth. By increasing exise taxes on the drinks you slow down the consumption and give the government more money to fritter away on themselves. Australians have always had a reputation for being heavy drinkers so our youth are just carrying on the tradition. The rest of the world think we drink a lot due to our climate, it being very mild to hot, thus one has to quench ones thirst. On the other hand with Pollies like ours what else is there to do to relieve ourselves of the pain of their so called policies. Pensioners dont indulge in the drinking tradition as much as they would like to as their pensions are rapidly getting very close to the price of a good bottle of wine. With food and petrol prices at an all time high and being the recipients of less than $12.000 a year it would be a delight to bury oneself in the oblivion of booze just so they dont have to think of the bastards that are causing them so much misery.

After 13 years of waiting on the sidelines of government the new breed has come up with its first budget and shown the same contempt for the nations senior citizens as the last bunch. The Australian senior citizens are the foundation of present day Australia and the parents of the current workforce who, the workforce, deservedly are the major recipients of the major part of the countries booming wealth. However being a parent of or grandparent of the present day workers means little to the *”Australian politician” *(An Australian politician is a parentless creature that has become active by using the Jurassic Park cloning system) this creature has for the last few years totally disregarded the needs and wants that seniors hope for for survival in everyday life. Seniors that are surviving into their twilight years do tend to be more aggressive that their parents were both were givin little or nothing to bring up a family other than hard work which they took to be their responsibility if they wanted a a situation that was instinctively called a “family”. Politicians never had the opportunity to grow up in one of these loving caring situations, once cloned they grew up in the vaults of banks and in the cracks in the floor of the stock exchange so by this up dragging they have little or no idea or felling of the senior and with that in mind lets hope they rot in hell. Oh by the way if you want to identify a politician hes the creep thats kissing babies and seen shaking hands with elderly people in wheelchairs when an election is due…….. BUDGET FOR THE NATION?…………… WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU WERE REGARDED AS PART OF IT…………….. Send them back to Jurassic Park.
Just an after thought. Once a person reaches the age of 65 why not drop the term PENSIONER which has little benefits and classify us all as REFUGEE, theres lots of benefits in that.

Heres a nice story that should have people rushing to go to this resturant in South Perth. Two members of my family decided to go for dinner on Saturday evening, and the Oyster Bar on the foreshore was their chosen eatery. They arrived at 6.40pm and their meal orders were taken and the entrees arrived promptly, at 8.45 after complaints and being ignored to to hide obvious embarassment the meal arrived. It was of poor standard and barely warm. Management decided they would make the desert and coffee complimentary but the meal cost still managed to be $108 for sub standard service and a cold meal. Dining out? think again about this joint.

Tradition. What does it mean to us and do we care about it.
The word tradition comes from the Latin word “traditio” which means “to hand down” or “to hand over.”
Every state in Australia would boast of some tradition that has a special place in the hearts of its people.
Every country has its traditions that are celebrated or observed in one way or another.
Traditions come in all forms, military, social, tributes to people and also sporting events.
That leads me to the reason for my blog.
Here in Western Australia we have celebrated New Years day with the running of the Perth Cup as a tradition that dates back to First Prince’s win in 1887. The race was run over over 2 miles, the same as the Melbourne Cup, which every Australian would admit is an institution on the first Tuesday in November. BY TRADITION. (Now by metric change its run over 3200 meters). So there we have it.
Does tradition mean anything to the governing body of racing here in Western Australia? obviously not, altering the race distance to 2400 meters is a total slap in the face to the racing industry and a joke to say that horses are no longer bred to race over the 3200 meter distance. Horses come from all over the world to compete in the Melbourne Cup simply because of the stake money and that is the draw that brings them here, the race distance is plus for the worlds top stayers. If the racing eggheads want those horses here then make the stake money comparable to the Melbourne Cup and nobody would argue with that in Western Australia.
To make changes of this nature to our racing tradition is tantermount to changing our constitution without referendum.

Since I wrote my thoughts on the name change of Learmonth Airport that was being considered by the Exmouth Council I have had many emails expressing their feeling of disgust with the thought.
Mrs Marjorie Le Souef (the war-time widow of W/Cdr Learmonth DFC & Bar) has since passed away and as a tribute to both her and W/Cdr Learmonth I agree with all who emailed me that the name should be left as it is a wonderful memorial to a great Australian and we should cherish with pride the airports name.

As an Australian observer of the fight for the right to take the Democatic Party to the White House there appears to be an incredible battle between Obama and Clinton. But is there going to be a winner, a real winner, not just the one who gets the nod from the super delegates but one who although getting the support of all registered Democratic voters can get the vote of the swinging voter. I personally think they have spent so much time and money fighting each other they have forgotten that the man they hope to defeat, John McCain must be laughing his ass off. The longer this fight goes on between Obama and Clinton the less they look like Presidential material, they are more interested in rebuffing each others policies they seem to forget they are giving McCain a free ride to power and all he has to do his keep his mouth shut. Nobody outside the USA knows anything of his policies, we know he s a Republican and I suppose he will or may not follow the same line as Mr Bush. I personally hope not for everyones sake, however until the title fight ends between Obama and Clinton who knows. One thing is for sure he, McCain has got plenty of time to offer promises that look better than those aired by his Democratic opponents.

The Cloning Bill in the West Australian Parliament Upper House offered a free vote to permit cloning for humans and allow the future research to find cures or maybe find ways to prevent the occurance of some of our awful illnesses. The politicians decided against human cloning, sounding the death warrant on so many sufferers of alzheimers and motor neurone desease etc. Pollies now decide who lives and dies, how many of them told us that when they canvassed to be elected. The way they voted should be published but thats not so, the local rag would sooner print an article by an ex liberal pollie of little significance about a previous free vote. Its quite odd that this pollie has the audacity to draw a comparison between the two bills. The Bill he supported was to abolish capital punishment in 1984. That permitted murderers to be spared the death penalty in line with most civilised countries of the world. The cloning bill has also been seen to be acceptable to every state in Australia except Western Australia so save the lives of murderers and let the sick that might be saved with research die. How many of these pollies actually visited any of the sufferers before they voted on this bill and saw what the impact of their action would be on these unfortunate people. What right has a politician to decide who lives or dies.
This is a medical issue and should be dealt with by medical persons who have first hand knowledge of the level of suffering and the benefits of cloning research. Politicians take too much on themselves and ex pollies are even worse and will say anything to get their names in the local rag.
Cloning is not about political point scoring its about people, people that are worse off than many of us certainly worse off than those at the top of St Georges Terrace.
Have an early election by all means but I dare you to remove compusory voting because none of you would have a bloody job.
