Sorry…………..(The Aftermath)

At last the deed has been done and apologies made for the stolen generation to the indigenous  people of Australia. In my opinion it was by and large what most Australians wanted and apart from whatever occurs in the future regarding compensation etc Im sure the nation as a whole is happy with the days proceedings that took place in the nations parliament. Everyone that is except from some of our polititians that showed their quality or lack of it to the nation on television. I find it difficult to understand why they couldnt accept “the apology” when you think of what is happening to Australia as a whole. Australia is now a multicultural country, that goes without saying, laws have been changed and modified to accomodate  the many different religions and customs of new migrants that come to these shores. The acceptance of some of the law changes in schools churches and the courts have often created much debate, anger and  argument. But at the end of the day Australians have accepted the new changes to their daily lives.  SO, in view of the fact that we have accepted those changes and like it or not are prepared to live with them. I ask the question, what right does a person like Wilson Tuckey and any other of his kind find it difficult to accept the fact that this apology  to the tradition owners of this country and the terrible mistreatment they endured. The shame of this is that this man has been part of a government that affected our lives over the past eleven and a half years and is now showing by his/their attitudes  their hatred of  of the true Australian. They are a disgrace to our nation and our parliament and the sooner they go the better. Follow their old leader and get right out of the public arena…………….Just Piss Off

Aussie Aussie Aussie (who are we)

I guess I am a whinging bastard coz things just dont seem to be right from my way of thinking. This is Australia its a country that stands on its own surrounded by water, a big island approx 22 million people so what have we got. Good question. Il tell you what we got and nobody seems to care except obviously me. We have a wonderful country sadly the head of it is a lady that lives in London and has a representative in all states and territories so I guess shes the boss and is a queen of many domains. Good for her. Thats one pile of bullshit. Next. In the USA they are going through a bad patch and their economy is in some sort of turmoil with housing and credit cards etc. now this is serious stuff for us, so serious that the banks here Commonwealth NAB ANZ and whoever else has to put their interest rates up for us to pay more coz these banks have borrowed money from there. Isnt that f….king great. The next thing which has alwys enchanted me is a real beauty, the price of our fuel, petrol/gas call it what you like is set in Singapore now I guess I have an identity problem here coz who the F…k are we, do we have any control at all, does any Australian own a deli or fish and chip shop anymore, not here they dont. So I ask the question when will Australia become a real country and not just the place people refer to as the land down under that has kangaroos and is good at cricket. So COME ON AUSSIE COME ON lets at least look like we own this country……or do we?

Bush Fires

Every year all over Australia we have the “Bush Fire Season” its made to sound like its an event to look forward to but every year there are teffible consequences and awful injuries and sometimes loss of life and property. The recent tradgedy involving the trucks that were permitted to travel through fire affected country opens up some interesting discussion, photographs in the media of the stricken trucks and the and the burned out bush makes me ask this question. Why do we have these huge trucks travelling on on piddly little roads that are still no more than camel tracks, there is nothing GREAT about the Eastern Highway its narrow, look at the photos of the burned out trucks and see the revelance to the size of truck to width of road. There is no shortage of space in the bush plenty of room to build aroad where trucks should be able to turn around. With all the bush country thats up there through the wheatbelt and on to the goldfields  the Great Eastern Highway wouldnt qualify as a decent fire break in the area that catastrohpe occured but nobody mentions it and I guess nobody will. Was a very sad day for Western Australia and the short sighted authorities that have no planning ability or forsight. An awful day indeed I hope somebody will learn from the mistakes and make sure it never happens again.

Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi

Im sure there is a lot of giggles and smiles after the prank episode by the Chaser Group and Red Faces on the part of the police. But ask yourselves how serious it is and what will be the outcome. Maybe through all the laughter you havent given it much thought, well just THINK about it. In Australia security tends to be copycat and follows other nations styles and methods and pranks like the one pulled by the Chaser Group to take the piss out of the police might just lead to a bit more tightening up security and what does that mean to us…….. LESS FREEDOM of movement thats what it means and will you all be laughing then and will Chaser and his idiots be standing up and chanting hey look we caused that, like F…K they will. Im in the US right now and security is noticeable when you go to any event football baseball etc. Inconvenient, I suppose so, but everyone knows the reason for it and accepts it as a precaution for their safety. It took a vile terrorist act to bring this action into everyday life with security forces at different places consstantly alert.

The fun and games of the chaser group will bring tighter security to Australia and if thats what they intended to do then stand up and say it and forget the piss taking and hiding behind a so called prank. Personally I hope they get jailed for it if it was only a joke. The rest of us are going to have to live with the consequences for everafter believe me. Being serched at sporting events where there are huge crowds and more cameras like the Poms and they dont complain one camera for every fourteen people there’s freedom and privacy for you how do you liike them apples Chaser. Youre a bunch of F….K…G mugs that can do those things because Australia is still a great place to live and feel free and people like you are going to destroy it for the rest of us and we will suffer to satisfy your personal ego. Thanks a lot MATE.

George W. Bush’s visit to OZ

I must point out first that this item is not for people with a weak stomach. this item of so called news put out by 9 news Australia has got to take the cake

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=61932

A Dick and Dora account of the US president spending a day with his friend John Howard. to inspire a new kiddies reading book titled Georgie and Johnny, boredom for the young.
I havenever read anything like this crap in my life, the only thing missing is how Mr Bush actually walked, in case you are wondering I will fill it in for you. He walked by putting one foot in front of the other alternativly and transfering his weight from one foot to the other. Its called walking. Who ever wrote this article should be shot and whoever published it should be made to do it then shoot him or herself. To me this is an example of the media totally censored and without any view or comment or critisism. I cannot understand how on such an important occassion like this H Ha the press forgot to tell us what they were all wearing. I bet the Queens representative our Governor General was all resplendant as usual, all done up like a dogs dinner………………. Say no more, you read it for yourself ………………………Im gonna pewk.

Newspapers and News

Firstly let me explain how I come to write this blog. Im an Ausstralian visiting the US at this time and I decided to take a look at any news that was of interest to me that was happening in Australia. So typing in Australian News I get news.com.au so I proceed to read whats going on and making I suppose headlines there. Doctors being quizzed regarding UK bombings ,Bart Simpson’ s frontal nudity (gravitating stuff that) and the new seven wonders of the world. Nothing there that deserves my comments or wasting time to read it. But as I scrolled down the page I could not believe what I saw and subsequently read. Entitled “Can we really trust young people to vote”………….”Youth too ignorant to vote” by a Mitchel Toy a University Student (no age supplied)’ on the 6th July 2007 at 1.00 am. Based on a report by the Federal Government which stated “civic education sorely needed” To those that do not know there is an election about to happen in Australia in October I think so I guess it all gloves off stuff at this time. So back to Mr Toy. This article by the way was printed and published by the Herald Sun a newspaper Ive never read and never will mainly as it lives on the other side of Australia from where I live, thank goodness.

Read the first nine lines of this article and he describes why the youth are not ready to vote and are more likely to vote for someone in Big Brother than either of our political party leaders Mr Howard (prime minister) and Mr Rudd (opposition leader) i guess in his opinion, he does not say whether that is a good or bad idea. Just about all the reat of the article is given to telling why our youth are not to be trusted to vote, citing that they are more interested in the Argentine revolutionary that was accused of sending many people to their deaths. They are glorifying him he says by wearing tee shirts with his picture on them and by buying belt buckles and other merchandise. The youth are ignorant of his deeds. So there you are our youth today can not be trussted to vote because this guy Ernesto has been glorified since the 60s says Mr Toy. The people who voted then, presumably before he was born (him..Mr Toy still being a student or could be Australias oldest Uni student) are now in their late 50s or around sixty were they incompetant, ignorant, I was around, I voted, I wasnt ignorant, stupid maybe but not ignorant. We have had many governments since the 60s none very good, still have the same problems, hospitals, police, transport, education, most of these politicians were probably university students that knew everything and who still think they do Mr Toy. Mr Toy says todays youth dont care about real politik but do care about rebellion against capitalism, Mr Toy youth have always been vocal and always will be whoever they see as their martyr will always be their motivation to change in their minds their futures. I for one detest having to suffer the compulsory voting system I tried to get myself off the electoral roll because I think its un democratic to be made to go and vote on a given day or be fined by liars cheats and generally people that are in the seat of parliament for their own ends as proven by the massive superanution payouts they recieve when they leave office. The baby kissers are now out in full force Mr Toy and youre the only one they are fooling a comment to your page was from a doctor in Perth who thinks that all people are too ignorant to vote I guess he means except doctors. Thats an interesting concept I guess go to the doctors for a prescription to vote.

Finally on all this crap the Herald Sun invites comments on Mr Toys article before you do read their publication and their privacy policies and you will see how bright the doctor is. Personally I think the Herald Sun has done itself irrepairable damage printing this ridiculous article.

Who gets the cash

Australian 50s

To get things started here I like to voice my moan thats festered over the past few years and remembering Im not the brightest star on the tree Im sure theres a simple explanation its just that Ive missed it. Im sure this is an Australian problem so I have to say it may be isolated to our country, never-the-less Id like an explanation. As a nation we have the Australian Dollar as our currency the highest denomination is $A100 then 50 – 20 – 10 – 5 all notes. coinage we have $2 – 1 then 50 cents, 20 – 10 -5 and this we have accepted over the past few years since the withdrawal of the 1 and 2 cent pieces which indeed accumulated and became a burden on the pocket/purse etc.

However the adjustment to the currency by the withdrawal of the minimal coins was I suppose to make it easier for everyone making purchases where the total ended at 97 – 98 – 99 cents etc. But whose conning who? prices are still organised so the end result is 97 – 98 – 99 cents the difference now is you dont get any change. The cash register shows $A9. 97cents but they take $A10 and in amongst that there is the added GST (somewhere) the tax we weere never going to have according to our soon to depart Prime Minister. So thats one situation that you can apply to the general stores and supermarkets then we move on to petrol/gas/service staions call them what title you like they have fractional prices they decimalise the single cent, now remember Im not bright, but how smart is the guy that thought that one up. So my question is where does this non exitant no change given money go? Who actually ends up with it? the treasurer? God Bless Him, or the retailer or the poor struggling oil companies.

Some basic sums very basic and somewhat vague in my esstimations. 2000 customers pass through a supermarket in any given day and pay the invisible one cent o a purchase, thats a mere $20thats the bottom line and 3 cents is $60 not much to get too upset about I spose (unless you think like I do) so how many supermarkets and corner shops and markets are there? 1000 maybe 10.000 so what we got now 60.000 to 600.000 a day? not bad pickings Oh I forgot, then theres the petrol/gas/services staions too. Whatever is happenening to that money in these days of accountability we should know where it goes and whats done with it. How many hospitals would it run or wages for more police, nurses whoever/whatever if youre going to rob us tell us what your doing with the money, is this the treasurers future fund that he doesnt want to spend on ordinary Australians, lets have some answers.

Finally in the USA they still use the penny or one cent in their currency this allows the consumer to their correct change from their purchases even tho there is evidence of its worthlessness on the sidewalks as nobody will pick them up. At the least you still have it and it ensures you get the correct change, there is talk of its withdrawal but dont be fooled that everything will be rounded off at a dime nickel or a quarter coz it just WONT HAPPEN
